We've changed our look to represent the growth in Sunnyside as new residents and new businesses continue to be attracted to our lively neighborhood. The refreshed logo represents Sunnyside as a friendly, contemporary and diverse neighborhood in Queens with its close proximity to Manhattan. The main logo features the historic arch and colorful flags to represent our diverse, multi-generational community. Other influences for the new look were drawn from the perspective that Sunnyside is a fun, close-knit community and a great place to live, work and play.
The graphic system was developed in partnership with The Local Agency design firm. We worked closely with Indrajeet Chandrachud and Claire Carsen-Cintron, both long-term Sunnyside residents.
