The Sunnyside Shines graffiti removal program cleaned and painted over 250+ instances of graffiti from Sunnyside storefronts, security gates and even a few sidewalks last fiscal year. The monthly graffiti removal program is generously supported by Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer.
"We thank Majority Leader Van Bramer for his dedication to the beautification of Sunnyside," said Sunnyside Shines executive director Rachel Thieme. "Removing graffiti on a regular basis contributes to a better-looking neighborhood in which to live, shop and do business."
Businesses and properties within the Sunnyside Shines BID are asked to please contact Sunnyside Shines if they have any graffiti in need of removal. Graffiti is removed once per month by a graffiti removal contractor. The contact number for the Sunnyside Shines office is (718) 606-1800.
